Come In From the Rain

There is nothing like rain,
To bring people together, to laugh,
Complain, and for a while, forget about the pain.

The pain that ebbs like the waves
Of the ocean, rising and falling,
With every twist and turn of the moon.

The torrentious downpour drives all men
To run and seek shelter,
And most often in the same places.

It is a time
When we all come together without hate,
Not having to hear the death bell chime.

Different colors and thoughts,
But we move closer as one,
To let another come in from the rain.
